The Board of Directors cordially invites our generous supporters and members to the Museums annual July 3rd Family Fireworks event. Enjoy the best seat on Milwaukees lakefront for the US Bank fireworks with a ticket to this fun-filled sparkler of an evening!
Earlybird tickets
Earlybird tickets are $25 per adult, $15 per child (10 and younger) and free for children younger than 1 year. Tickets include dinner, beverages and activities for the whole family.
Museum members may secure their tickets at earlybird prices during the following dates:
B level members and above: June 1 - 19
A level members: June 10 - 19
Regular-price tickets
Regular tickets are $30 per adult, $20 per child (10 and younger) and free for children younger than 1 year. Tickets include dinner, beverages and activities for the whole family.
All members may reserve tickets after June 19 at the regular ticket prices.

The Great Circus Parade returns to Milwaukee on Sunday, July 12. The Museum is offering a special parade package that includes reserved bleacher seating, a picnic-style lunch, and free play in the Museum before the parade begins at 1:30 p.m. (the Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 12).
Enjoy the spectacular two-hour parade from reserved seating at the beginning of the parade route on Wisconsin Avenue. Enjoy 50 authentic circus wagons, 350 exquisite horses, 30 musical bands and novelties, exotic animals, 150 clowns and more than 450 riding and walking performers.

Tickets are $35 per person for members and $40 per person for non-members.

SOLAR IN THE CITY EXHIBIT GRAND OPENING EVENT
July 18 from 10:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
Join us at 10:30 a.m. for the debut of Solar in the City, a new exhibit developed in partnership by the Betty Brinn Childrens Museum and We Energies. This hands-on exhibit teaches children about solar energy and how sunlight is being transformed into electricity in the city of Milwaukee. At the event, children will enjoy light refreshments and fun activities, including:

Step into science with playful experiments and energizing activities. Learn how electricity is made from the renewable energy sources of wind, sun, water and biomass through adventurous demonstrations that let you be the scientist!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL RESOURCE FAIR
August 20 from 5 8 p.m. during WaterStone Bank & FOX 6 Neighborhood Night
Join us for the annual free Back-to-School Resource Fair for an evening filled with resources to help parents prepare children for the first day of school. Free school supplies will be available for children in need, while supplies last. This event is sure to help make a childs first day of school exciting and fun!
THE BETTY BRINN CHILDREN'S MUSEUM GALA
October 3, 2009
The Museum's annual Gala is black-tie affair recognized as one of the hottest tickets in town. It is held at the Museum in October. The event features a silent auction, gourmet dinner and dancing.
Proceeds from the Gala represent almost 10 percent of the Museum's operating budget and help fund exhibits and programs for visitors, as well as outreach programs that ensure children and adults with special needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to our facility and resources.

LITTLE MONSTER BASH - A HALLOWEEN DANCE AND COSTUME PARTY

Families enjoy dancing, treats and fun workshops at our annual costume party fundraiser, the Little Monster Bash! The event features a kids' costume parade, trick-or-treating in the Museum, family-friendly activities, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, an adult costume contest and more! Dinner and lots of treats are provided.

LITTLE SWEETHEART DANCE

Put on your party best and enjoy a special evening at the Museums annual family fundraiser, the Little Sweetheart Dance. Proceeds from the event support the Museum's outreach programs that benefit disadvantaged families in our community.

Teacher of the Year
TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD - A TRIBUTE TO ALICE BERTSCHY KADISH
The winners have been chosen! The recipients of the 2009 Teacher of the Year Award - A Tribute to Alice Bertschy Kadish are:
Early Childhood Award: Brittanny Schueller, 4K, Dean Elementary School, Brown Deer School District
Early Elementary Award: Maria Jensen, 2nd Grade, Ben Franklin Elementary School, Franklin School District
Thank you to all of the outstanding nominees!
The award was created by the Museum in 1996 as a tribute to Kadish, a Milwaukee teacher and beloved Museum supporter who devoted her life to excellence in early childhood education. The award is presented to an early childhood educator and a K-3rd grade teacher who demonstrate a special commitment to the principles of hands-on learning.
The award is endorsed by the Wisconsin Education Association Council and the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association, an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Metroparent, MilwaukeeMoms.com and Milwaukee Public Television are media sponsors of this year's award.
The 2008 Teachers of the Year were Lori Niemoeller, 4-year-old kindergarten teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School in Wauwatosa, and Danielle Pajot, third and fourth-grade teacher at Woodlands School in Milwaukee.
