Explore Our Interactive Exhibits

Step into a world where fun and learning go hand in hand! Every exhibit at Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is designed to spark curiosity and inspire learning through hands-on play. What wonders will your child discover?

Home Town

What makes a community work? In Home Town, kids can immerse themselves in make-believe adventures and find out! In our kid-sized post office and grocery store, complete with working phones and cash registers with pretend money, children can enjoy imaginative play while creatively building math, literacy and social skills. Here, kids get a taste of adult life, learning about responsibility and teamwork to get the job done.

Hot Lava

Don’t step in the hot lava! Just kidding, it’s all part of the fun. This interactive exhibit takes young explorers on a volcanic adventure where they can design their own lava course. The exhibit includes pretend rocks, planks and wood tiles where children can unleash their creative side by constructing thrilling landscapes to get across the pretend molten floors.

This exhibit promotes movement and balance, and encourages teamwork, problem-solving and collaboration.

Hot Lava is made possible thanks to the generosity of Debra Altshul-Stark and Brian Stark.

Pocket Park

Pocket Park is the perfect place for little ones (ages 4 and under) to explore, play and grow! This sensory-rich, pretend park is full of engaging activities designed to help young kids reach important developmental milestones. Whether climbing into the treehouse, playing in the garden or role-playing in the doctor’s office, every area encourages learning through play.

Kids can start learning numbers and letters in the pretend classroom, build early literacy skills in the library and improve motor and social skills - all helping to foster early school-readiness and set them up for success.

Let's Play Railway!

Choo Choo! All aboard! Let’s Play Railway!™ puts kids on a realistic train engine with levers, dials, cranks and buttons. Children can solve puzzles on the kid-powered crankshaft, play music on the cow catcher xylophone, take a spin in the roly-poly wheel and guide golf balls down a pretend track from station to station.

This exhibit offers an interactive learning experience where kids can develop early math and literacy skills while encouraging problem-solving, sharing and collaboration. Hop on the learning train and let the journey begin!

Velocity

Explore the science of motion with Velocity! Roll and race golf balls on tracks, loops and hills to experiment with momentum, friction, gravity, acceleration, speed and distance - bringing physics to life. Track the velocity and momentum of your ball and watch as the data evolve with each test run!

Be A Maker

Join us in the Be A Maker space for hands-on maker activities and collaborative projects that inspire creativity and curiosity! Each month offers new and exciting projects, giving kids the chance to explore different tools, materials and techniques.

From designing and building to experimenting with science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM), kids will develop valuable skills in problem-solving, teamwork and innovation while bringing their unique ideas to life.
