Artist-in-residence

We know that play is powerful, and when you add music, the magic multiplies! Music helps little learners build confidence, boost creativity, develop language skills and so much more. Plus, it’s a wonderful way for the whole family to play together.

Grammy-nominated, classically trained cellist, composer and music producer Malik Johnson will be returning as our 2026 Artist-in-Residence!

Artist-in-Residence Programs

  • Performances: Families are invited to listen or get up and dance along during Malik's 30-minute cello performance at the Museum.
