Tool Time

Friday, July 31 | 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Grab your safety glasses and get ready to build! During this hands-on workshop, children will learn basic tool safety, explore STEAM concepts and create their very own wooden bookends to decorate and take home.

Each participant will also receive a free book, making it easy to fill their new bookends with a favorite story and inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Honey Bee Day

Saturday, August 15 | 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Celebrate Honey Bee Day with hands-on activities the whole family will love. Meet a real beekeeper and her bees, join SHARP Literacy for a special A Busy Bee story time, build a bee with clay, create a flower for our community pollinator garden and explore the incredible world of pollinators through play.

All Honey Bee Day activities are included with general admission. Gather your hive and join us for a day that's sure to bee unforgettable!.

Be A Maker Programming

Drop in for daily tinkering in our Be A Maker space! Kids are encouraged to use their creativity to bring their own idea to life or grab a Blueprint and follow directions for a Maker project.

July: DIY Bouncy Ball
Learn how to create a bouncy ball! We need the help of young chemists to join us as we experiment and learn about the scientific method while making a toy to take home.

This STEAM program is a facilitated, monthly-rotating makerspace workshop.

Show off your creative expression while making one-of-a-kind art! We'll be using small tools and learning about safe risk-taking to make our paint splatter.

Field Trips / Group Visits

Our Field Trips and Group Visits are perfect for schools and organizations seeking hands-on, educational experiences.

We offer 90-minute Self-Guided Field Trips for schools, childcare centers and nonprofit groups of 10 or more. Groups may also choose to add a Field-Trip Program to their visit.

Wonder Wagon

Wonder Wagon

Our Wonder Wagon brings hands-on activities and collaborative projects into the community. The Wonder Wagon is available to visit parks, community centers, schools, partner sites, special events and private functions.
