Celebrate Grandparents’ Day at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum on Sunday, September 13. The whole family is invited to get hands-on creating a family keepsake, reading together in our Book Nook and capturing the grand memories of the day at our photo station!

After Hours Member Playtime 

September 26, 5-7 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of after-hours play in Wild Kratts®: Creature Power®! Explore the brand-new exhibit, grab some pizza and meet live reptiles and insects from Tatiana’s Tiny Zoo from 5–6 p.m.

Betty BOO's Spooktacular

October 10, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Kick off the spooky season at Betty BOO’s Spooktacular! Join us for a full day of fright-free family fun inspired by creatures of the night. Meet real owls from Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, learn about bats and nocturnal animals, enjoy Silly Spooky Story Times in Northwoods, join Arts @ Large's Día de los Muertos project, create event-exclusive projects, complete a scavenger hunt for a bag of treats, show off your costume in a parade and dance out the wiggles at the Mini Monster Mash.

Costumes are highly encouraged but not required!

Be A Maker Programming

Workshop

Drop in for daily tinkering in our Be A Maker space! Kids are encouraged to use their creativity to bring their own idea to life or grab a Blueprint and follow directions for a Maker project.

Messy Mondays

A weekly hands-on program that features a variety of materials guaranteed to make a mess!

September: Foil Printmaking
Learn how to transfer ink and colors from foil to paper in this printmaking workshop. Kiddos will create a mono-print, while experimenting with colors, practicing fine motor skills and building creative expression.

Lab

11 a.m & 1 p.m.
Wednesday-Sunday

This STEAM program is a facilitated, monthly-rotating makerspace workshop.

September: Puppet Making
Create your own puppet to take home! Kiddos will have the opportunity to make a hand, stick or marionette puppet during this workshop. Learn how to assemble, problem-solve and bring your puppet character to life as you create a story to tell.

Field Trips / Group visits

Field Trips / Group Visits

Our Field Trips and Group Visits are perfect for schools and organizations seeking hands-on, educational experiences.

We offer 90-minute Self-Guided Field Trips for schools, childcare centers and nonprofit groups of 10 or more. Groups may also choose to add a Field-Trip Program to their visit.

Wonder Wagon

Wonder Wagon

Our Wonder Wagon brings hands-on activities and collaborative projects into the community. The Wonder Wagon is available to visit parks, community centers, schools, partner sites, special events and private functions.
