Our field trips and group visits are perfect for schools and organizations seeking hands-on, educational experiences.
Self-Guided Field Trips
Groups can explore the Museum at their own pace with our 90-minute Self-Guided Field Trips.
Group Admission:
$8 per child
Minimum of 10 students/$80
1 adult teacher/chaperone (18+ years) for every 5 children.
Extra adults (outside of the 1:5 ratio) $13
Discounted admission rates apply for schools, childcare centers, and nonprofit groups of 10 or more.

Be A Maker Field Trips
Want to inspire young minds and nurture their curiosity even more? Add a Be A Maker Field Trip program to your Museum visit! Each program provides hands-on learning experiences through facilitated workshops that encourage learning through materials and tools, props, demonstrations and group interaction. Programs run 30-45 minutes per rotation depending on your group size and match various educational standards.

Mega-Fort: The Power of Shapes
K4 - 4th Grade | +$5 per child
Let’s construct a fort! Participants will work as a team to design, build and test the strength of their forts using real building materials. During this hands-on activity, groups will use the scientific method as they explore the strength of shapes and experiment with basic engineering concepts.
Fluid Formations
K4 - 4th Grade | +$5 per child
Chemical reactions are happening all around us. Participants will learn about states of matter, make observations and put their hypotheses to the test with exciting science experiments. Join us to investigate how common household items can be transformed into ooey gooey creations!
PLAYGROUND ENGINEERS
K4 - 4th Grade | +$5 per child
Simple machines help make our lives easier and our playgrounds a ton of fun! Utilizing the six simple machines, participants will design and build a large pretend playground together with one-of-a-kind slides, swings and even inventions of their own design. After construction, we will create narratives and share how we imagine our playground coming to life.

K4 - 1st Grade | +$5 per child

Monster Maker
K3 - K5 | +$5 per child
Emotions are a part of our everyday lives, and we all experience them in different ways! Participants will listen to a short story where loveable, colorful monsters experience all kinds of feelings and express them through words and actions. After the story, we’ll create our own playdough monsters, share our squishy, silly creatures, and talk about how they’re feeling!
